EL PASO, Texas – There are still opportunities for marching bands, ROTC groups, specialty groups to be a part of the Glasheen, Valles and Inderman Injury Lawyers Sun Bowl Parade, which is set for Thanksgiving morning in El Paso, Texas.
There are a few spots left for marching bands and ROTC units as well as spots for themed entertaining groups such as: Ghostbuster Club, Star Wars Club, Roller Derby, Lucha Libre Wrestling League, Matachines, Ballet Folklorico and El Maida Shriners.
Unacceptable groups include the following: • Car Clubs (cars, trucks, jeeps etc.), Student Councils, any Sports Teams (youth or adult), any cheer groups, any other non-theatrical walking groups, other groups that don’t fit into what is acceptable.

The Sun Bowl parade started its humble beginnings on New Year’s Day in 1936 and has stood the test of time as an annual tradition here in El Paso. The Sun Bowl Association made the switch to a Thanksgiving Day celebration in 1978 and has been the tradition since.
