EL PASO, Texas – With the Memorial Day Holiday approaching that means there are less than 100 days until College Football kicks off.
After a morning start time last year, CBS and the Sun Bowl Association have announced that the game moves back to it’s traditional high-noon kick-time. The game is set to be televised on CBS for the 54th year on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022 in Sun Bowl Stadium.
“The Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl has been played at different times over the past 88 years but the noon kickoff is traditionally the time fans know,” Executive Director Bernie Olivas said. “We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for the continued partnership we have with CBS and the wonderful crew that visits El Paso each year.”
CBS Sports is presenting a total of 22 college football games with their final game televised being the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. Other notable games on CBS include Alabama-Texas A&M battle in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, while the annual rivalry game between Georgia and Florida will take place on Oct. 29. CBS also features college football’s highest-rated television package, the SEC ON CBS. The traditional Army-Navy game is on Dec. 10 before the crew heads to El Paso for the end-of-the year celebration at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.
