EL PASO, Texas – The 60th Annual WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 21-22, in the Don Haskins Center.
The UTEP Miners are the defending WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational Tournament after defeating North Carolina A&T in round one and UC Irvine in the Championship Game of the 2019 Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational.
The UTEP Miners have won the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational 32 times and is 88-28 overall in the Sun Bowl Invitational that started back in 1961.
This will mark the third trip that Sam Houston Head Coach Jason Hooten and his Bearkats are making to El Paso for the WestStar Bank Sun Bowl Invitational, while Bradley is making its first ever appearance in “The Oldest Collegiate Holiday Basketball Tournament in the Nation.”
North Carolina Central will be making its first ever appearance in the Sun Bowl Invitational and will take on UTEP for the first time ever, as well, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (MT) in the Don Haskins Center.
